Lloyds TSB Current Accounts can offer new current account customers a fixed interest rate of 4.75% AER on the first £5,000 of balances until 6th June 2005. And when you apply online and agree to pay in £1,000 a month or more, they'll credit your account with £30 once they receive your first deposit. Balances above £5,000 will receive their standard interest rate of 0.10% AER/ Gross. After the 6th June 2005 interest rates will revert back to their standard Plus rates, which are currently 3.75% AER / 3.69% Gross if you pay in £2,000 a month and 3.08% AER / 3.04% Gross if you pay in £1,000 a month.
They can also offer new customers opening a Plus account an interest free overdraft on agreed overdrafts until 6th June 2005.
